The Information Technologies and Communications Authority, established by Electronic Communications Law No. 6-2012 to regulate and supervise the electronic communications sector through an independent administrative authority, is a legal entity with financial and administrative autonomy under the rules established by law and is independent in its functions.
A board of seven members, including the President and Vice President, governs the Authority. The Authority's management and representational authority rests with the chairman of the Board, who is the Authority's chief executive officer, and the President. The President, Vice President, and Board members may serve a maximum of three terms. Their terms of office are five years for the first two terms and three years for the third term.
