Safe Internet Service Cooperation Meeting Held at BTHK

The Information Technologies and Communications Authority (BTHK) hosted a cooperation meeting regarding the package options to be offered under the Safe Internet Service, which is planned to be launched to support children and families in using the internet more safely in the digital environment.

The meeting covered the work to be carried out in cooperation with the Ministry of Labour and Social Security, the Ministry of National Education, BTHK, mobile communication providers, and internet service providers. Discussions were held on offering safe internet packages on a voluntary basis, upon the request of subscribers.

Furthermore, it was planned that the filtering lists to be used within the scope of the service will be prepared under the responsibility of BTHK, taking into account internationally accepted criteria and evaluated in line with the conditions of the country. It is aimed that the protocol to be prepared will be signed by the end of June, followed by the launch of public awareness activities.
