BTHK President Bürüncük Holds Meetings in Ankara
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kadri Bürüncük, President of the Information Technologies and Communication Authority (BTHK), visited institutions and organisations operating in various fields, chiefly information technologies, electronic communications and cybersecurity, as part of his meetings in Ankara.
During his visit, Bürüncük met with Ahmet Hamdi Atalay, Deputy Minister of Transport and Infrastructure of the Republic of Türkiye, and exchanged views on the existing cooperation between Türkiye and the TRNC in the fields of information technologies and electronic communications, as well as on current developments in the sector. It was noted at the meeting that Türkiye–TRNC relations offer new opportunities for cooperation not only on political and economic matters but also in the fields of technology, communications and digital infrastructure.
BTHK President Bürüncük also met with Ömer Abdullah Karagözoğlu, President of the Information and Communication Technologies Authority (BTK). The meeting reviewed the ongoing work between the two authorities and developments in the fields of information technologies and electronic communications.
As part of his meetings in Türkiye, Bürüncük also held talks with officials of institutions operating in the field of cybersecurity, assessing the work being carried out in this area and the opportunities for cooperation.
The meetings focused on the ongoing work in the fields of information technologies and communications, as well as on new areas of cooperation and the work that may be undertaken in the coming period.
